What is an alcohol interlock?
Low Energy
An alcohol interlock is a device that prevents a
vehicle from starting if the driver has a breath alcohol
concentration (BrAC) over a preset limit. The alcohol
interlock consists of a handheld breath alcohol tester
and an electrical control unit (ECU) that is connected
to the starting mechanism of any vehicle.
This new series offers a low quiescent (sleep) current
of less than 1 mA to meet the latest automotive power
network requirements.
Programmable
Drivers may be tested at the beginning of their shift
or at intervals throughout the day. The ALCOLOCK
V3 LE system can be programmed to meet company
safety policy requirements. Proprietary software allows
reporting and logging of breath test results, times,
dates and more.
Telematics Integration
ALCOLOCK V3 LE is fully compatible with telematic
systems through CAN Bus and RS 232 data
communication protocols. Recieve real time alerts and
violation messages through your Webfleet platform.
