DVS
Progressive Safe System
The Direct Vision Standard (DVS) and HGV safety permit scheme for heavy
goods vehicles requires operators of lorries over 12 tonnes gross vehicle
weight to obtain a safety permit before entering and operating in most of
Greater London. Otherwise, you may receive a Penalty Charge Notice.
Why?
The Direct Vision Standard and HGV Safety
Permit Scheme are part of the Mayor of
London’s Vision Zero plan to eliminate all
deaths and serious injuries on London’s
transport network by 2041.
Who?
All HGVs more than 12 tonnes GVW entering
or operating in Greater London need a
three-star rating.
Our Kit
With the addition of a Moving Off Information System (MOIS), the PSS also uses a Blind Spot Information
System (BSIS), and a Camera Monitoring System (CMS) to completely eliminate the blind spot on the
nearside of the vehicle.
